Day 3 of the Master Classics of Poker Main Event has come to an end, and the final table is set. Nine players remain in the most prestigious tournament of The Netherlands, and it's a Dutchman leading the international final table.

Worth a mention are two other Dutchman, both for their own reasons. Jasper Meijer van Putten won the last EPT in Prague before the venerable poker tour took a year hiatus. The experienced Dutch poker player brings a more than decent 59 big blinds to the final table.

The turn is the and the river is the to send the defending champion to the rail in 4th place. Jonathan Kramer - 1,100,000 Phil Hui - 1,000,000 Curtis Daye - 750,000.
  • Kramer explained to us how he raised before the flop with KQ and got called by one player. On a 3-3-2-3-2 board Kramer bet all three streets, which culminated in him shoving all in on the river. “He called me with pocket sevens,” Kramer explained, as he only had king high.

The other home country hero is Alberto Stegeman, who starts out with 14 big blinds and has his work cut out for him. Stegeman is a local celebrity, known for his investigative journalism with his own show on Dutch TV. Despite poker not being his bread and butter, Stegeman is absolutely no stranger to poker. In fact, the game has been a longtime passion of the amicable Stegeman who's cemented himself a place in the Dutch poker scene already, having played numerous national and international poker tournaments.
